Football programs who have accomplished more than VT

Univ of Va....and before you fall off your chair even though UVA s program has dropped off in the last few years they were actually ranked #1 in the country I believe in 1990. Tech even with their relative easy schedule year after year after year has never been rated higher than #2. Put the bass fishing championship in the empty MNC case at Tech and at least get some use out of it..........Couldnt pass up digging at my Tech friends

Ranked #1 for exactly one week and Clemson sent them packing...or that might have been 91

actually in 1990, I think GT was #1 and UVA was #2. I could be wrong. Scott Stadium caught fire the night before the game and then GT beat them the next day. Shawn Moore got hurt and they went on to lose their last 4 I think while GT won the national championship.

Yep, and in either 91 or 92 Clemson got them...I remember watching the GT-UVA game you're talking about tho..
